BHLC was founded in 2007.
BHLC began in 2007 when a group of homeschooling families who felt shut out of other local co-ops wanted to create a space that homeschool families of all walks of life and belief systems would be welcome. United by a desire to educate their children in a stimulating, respectful environment, these parents created Bluegrass Homeschool Learning Cooperative.
As their children grew up, went off to college, and became adults, the founders of BHLC passed on the torch to the next generation of homeschool families. We strive to continue serving the local homeschool community by creating a welcoming space for families from all walks of life and belief systems.
BHLC is a not-for-profit 501c3 organization.
