Robotics with BHLC

Failing Formally is looking for new members for the 2026-2027 season! We also have space in our intern program if you are curious to see what FIRST Robotics is all about. Click here if interested.

Failing Formally is now in its fifth-year as a robotics team, and is open to all homeschoolers ages 12-18. We meet once a week from September - February. During this fast-paced season, we participate in three different competitions. Robotics is an excellent environment to help explore creativity, engineering, coding, math, writing, and public speaking skills.

Failing Formally charges an annual fee which is determined at the beginning of each year. Financial constraints should not be a barrier to participation and scholarships are available if the fee is not feasible. Failing Formally operates as an affiliate of BHLC but taking BHLC classes is not required for participation. Failing formally has its own policies and code of conduct that will need to be signed by each member and parent. We are a team built on respect, encouragement, and acceptance!
